Mara Furnish

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop

 

Mara grew up dancing since the age of three, training in all styles such as tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. She attended JUMP dance, Corona Dance Academy, and Kristi’s Forever Dancin’, where she competed and won multiple 1st place awards in solos, duos,  trios, and group dances. In 2011 and 2012, she was accepted into the Joffrey summer intensive in New York, and ABT Alabama. From 2013-2017 Mara was on the Santiago High School dance team, where she was a part of winning 8 state championships and one national championship. She was captain of that team for 3 years, where she choreographed football and pep rally routines, and contributed to cleaning competition routines. In the 2018 competition season with IDC, she won a choreography award, and her competition routines have been scoring very well and receiving overall placements. Mara is now on the 16 time national championship Cal State University Fullerton dance team, and is going to school for physical therapy, to specialize in dancers.
